St. Stephen's College is a religious foundation drawing inspiration from the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. It aims at helping its members realise spiritual and moral as well as intellectual and aesthetic values.

Founded on 1 February 1881, St. Stephen's is the oldest college in Delhi. It was first affliated to Calcutta University, and later to Punjab University. Finally with the establishment of Delhi University in 1922, it became one of its three original constituent colleges.

Biography

Ms. Sangeeta Sethi is a faculty member in the Department of Computer Science at St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi. She joined the University of Delhi in 1987 and has been associated with St. Stephen’s College since then.

She completed her graduation in Statistics Honours from 1982 to 1985, followed by an M.Sc. in Computer Science. Her postgraduate dissertation was titled “Ring File Structure for Information Storage and Retrieval.”

She has taught a wide range of subjects in Computer Science, including Computer Fundamentals and Programming, Digital Computer Architecture, Data Structures, Data Management, Database Systems, Computer Organization and Operating Systems, Computer Networks, and Internet Technologies.

She has contributed to the development and restructuring of the undergraduate Computer Science curriculum and has been actively involved in the activities of the Computer Science Society at St. Stephen’s College. She has also contributed to various University academic and examination activities, including evaluation, question-paper setting, and practical examinations.

Her academic experience covers programming, data structures, databases, computer networks, and computer systems, with a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and academic development.
