About SCAL

The motivation for establishing the St. Stephen's Centre for Advanced Learning (SCAL) was to provide sound learning for individuals interested in enhancing their knowledge and competencies across a wide range of academic and professional disciplines. Although SCAL is a relatively new Centre of St. Stephen's College, it carries forward the same academic excellence and commitment to quality education that has made the College one of India's most distinguished educational institutions.

SCAL offers a diverse range of short-term academic programmes at the Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma levels. These programmes cover multiple disciplines, practical skills and professional competencies. Information regarding admissions and upcoming courses is regularly published on the SCAL webpage.

Building on its successful journey, SCAL introduced its first Fellowship Programme for participants from neighbouring countries with the support of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.

Courses offered through SCAL are taught by distinguished academicians, administrators and professionals with extensive experience in areas such as Public Policy, Administration, Finance, Diplomacy and several other specialised fields. Participants benefit from the practical knowledge and expertise of nationally and internationally recognised resource persons.

Admission to SCAL programmes follows a carefully designed selection process to ensure that participants' aspirations align with the objectives of each programme. Limited intake allows for meaningful interaction, active participation and close engagement with faculty and experts throughout the learning experience.
