St. Stephen's College is a religious foundation drawing inspiration from the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. It aims at helping its members realise spiritual and moral as well as intellectual and aesthetic values.

Founded on 1 February 1881, St. Stephen's is the oldest college in Delhi. It was first affliated to Calcutta University, and later to Punjab University. Finally with the establishment of Delhi University in 1922, it became one of its three original constituent colleges.

Biography

Sujay John K is a faculty at St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi, India, with over 30 years of experience in sports education, sports administration, journalism, broadcasting, and sports management.

An alumnus of the prestigious Indian Institute of Management Shillong in Sports Management, he also holds a Master’s degree in Physical Education and Sports from the University of Delhi.

He is currently leading a longitudinal study on Sports Policy and Governance in India, examining the evolving landscape of governance, policy implementation, and institutional reforms in Indian sport.

A multiple recipient of awards from Government and non-government agencies, he continues to work on sports governance and management, grassroots and youth development, innovation in sport, and the promotion of lifelong health and fitness
