Biography
Dr. Sangeeta Sachdeva is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at St. Stephen's College, University of Delhi. She obtained a Ph.D. in "Enhancement of mechanical integrity of thin films by ion beams" from IIT Delhi and specializes in experimental condensed matter physics. She teaches undergraduate courses covering varied topics like mathematical physics, thermal physics, waves and optics, electricity and magnetism, electromagnetic theory, electronics, nanomaterials, etc., to undergraduate physics students. Her research interests lie in the synthesis, characterization, and application of nanomaterials like iron oxide-based nanostructures. She has experience in preparing nanomaterials using techniques such as the sol-gel method and spin coating, and in investigating their structural, optical, and magnetic properties. Her work focuses on understanding the influence of particle size, morphology, and synthesis conditions on the physical properties of nanomaterials.
