Dr. Prerna Higgins is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at St. Stephen's College, University of Delhi. She has obtained a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture Technology and Science (SHUATS) and specializes in Organic Chemistry. She was the Topper in Ph.D Chemistry(SHUATS) and GOLD MEDALIST in M.Sc Chemistry(University of Allahabad). She was honoured by the DDMS Govil Award and UGC SGC for Merit. She secured RANK 1st in B.Sc Chemistry and Rank 4th in Overall Faculty of Science(University of Allahabad). She teaches undergraduate courses in DSC (Chemistry Programme) and DSE (Elective Courses). Her research interests include Organic Chemistry, Nanochemistry, Environmental Remediation, Adsorption, Green Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Material Science with recent work focusing on Nanochemistry. She has published several research papers in peer-reviewed journals and authored many book(s)/book chapter(s), has presented papers in International Conferences, Seminars, Webinars, guided students for Project works and has contributed to funded research projects/laboratory development/software development.
