Biography
Dr. Kashif Ahmed is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at St. Stephen's College, University of Delhi. He obtained his Ph.D. in Mathematics with specialization in Tropical Cryptography from the University of Delhi. His teaching interests include Algebra, Linear Algebra, Cryptography, Differential Equations and Mathematical Modelling. His research focuses on Tropical Algebra and its applications to cryptography, including tropical semirings, cryptographic protocols and cryptanalysis. His research has been published in leading international peer-reviewed journals including Cryptologia, Communications in Algebra and the Asian-European Journal of Mathematics. He has also actively mentored undergraduate research projects under the Prof. Nagpaul Fellowship. In addition to his research and teaching, he has held several academic and administrative responsibilities at the College including serving on the Governing Body, Time-Table Committee, Workload Committee and as Associate Director of the St. Stephen's Centre of Advanced Learning.
