Biography
Dr. Harish Kumar Yadav is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at St Stephen's College, University of Delhi. He obtained his Ph.D. in Materials Science from Delhi University and specializes in thin films and nanoparticles. His thesis title was "Growth and Characterization of Multifunctional Zinc Oxide (ZnO) Nanoparticles and Thin Films". He was an auxiliary Research Associate at the University of Puerto Rico, San Juan, USA from Nov 2007 – Apr 2008. He joined the Physics department of St. Stephen's College in July 2008 as an ad hoc faculty member and later became a permanent faculty member in June 2010.
He teaches BSc Physics (Hons) and BSc (prog) undergraduate courses, primarily the electronics (analog and digital), microprocessor and microcontroller, solid state physics, nanomaterials, etc. papers and the associated labs. Dr. Yadav has published more than 25 research papers in peer-reviewed journals of international repute and has contributed to two research projects funded by the University of Delhi. He is a member of the Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT) Professional Society. Presently, his academic interest is in mesoscopic systems at low temperature and high magnetic fields.
