Biography
Dr. Ashish is an Assistant Professor of Hindi in the Department of Hindi at St. Stephen's College, University of Delhi. He holds a Ph.D. in Hindi from the Central University of Tamil Nadu, Thiruvarur, and an M.Phil. in Hindi from Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya, Wardha. His teaching areas include Hindi Language and Hindi Literature. He also serves as the Advisor of the B.A. Programme Society, contributing to academic and co-curricular initiatives that promote student engagement and holistic development. His research interests encompass contemporary Hindi literature, cultural studies, Dalit discourse, Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), and the interface of culture and power in Hindi novels. He has published 09 research papers in UGC CARE-listed and peer-reviewed journals and authored six book chapters in edited volumes. He has presented papers at numerous national and international conferences and actively participates in faculty development programmes, research methodology courses, and academic initiatives. He continues to pursue research on contemporary literary discourse, culture, and Indian knowledge traditions in Hindi literature.
