Alum Nishad Das Honoured as 2026 Global Educator of the Year

The College is delighted to share that Mr. Nishad Das, an alumnus of St. Stephen’s College, Class of 1985, has received the 2026 Salomon Prize for Global Educator of the Year. He graduated from the College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics.

Presented by the Institute for Global Learning, an international educational network serving approximately 415 schools across 22 countries, the award recognises Mr. Das’s extraordinary leadership and sustained contributions to the advancement of global education. He currently serves as Dean of Globalism and Experiential Education at Groton School, Massachusetts.

Over the past two decades, Mr. Das has fostered meaningful international partnerships and promoted intercultural competence among students and educators. His work has helped reimagine cross-border educational engagement as a reciprocal and intellectually rigorous process grounded in shared humanity.
