MESS SUPERVISOR:
Essential:

B. Sc. in Hotel Management or Hospitality Administration from a recognized University with at least 03 years of experience in a supervisory capacity in catering, accommodation operations, and/or food & beverages management, in a reputed Hotel/Guest House of commercial or educational establishment.

Or

A degree from a recognized University with a Diploma in Hotel Management or Catering Technology from an Institution recognized by the Government with at least 6 years in a supervisory capacity in catering, accommodation operations, and/or food & beverages management, in a reputed Hotel/Guest House of commercial or educational establishment.

Maximum Age Limit: 35 Years
Responsibilities:
  1. Supervision for preparation and service of food to authorized persons in College Dining Hall after receiving necessary raw items, plan the menu from time to time, maintain cleanliness in the Kitchen/Dinning Hall.
  2. Monitoring the day to day work of Hostel Mess
  3. Preparation of Roster for Kitchen Staff.
  4. Supervision of Kitchen Staff, maintain their daily attendance, recommend leave and maintain the leave register of the kitchen staff.
  5. Supervise the maintenance of kitchen equipment and advise the Estate Officer regarding necessary repairs/replacements.
  6. Monitoring the Daily Costs, control pilferage, if any.
  7. Maintain receipts and issue of Stocks and other requirements of the Mess
  8. Maintenance of Bill Register.

For each subject there is a Society that sponsors extra-curricular lectures and discussion and, in general, tries to stimulate interest in the subject. There are many other academic and cultural society and clubs covering wide range of activities, such as debating, dramatics, mountaineering, film and music appreciation, social service, photography and electronics.
