About The Course

The Indian Civil Service Conclave is an intensive, four-weekend-long expose, with four enlightening sessions every weekend. The programme will deal with aspects that civil service aspirants need to know. These sixteen lectures from those who have actually aced the examination and who will bring insights into how to do your best at the civil service examinations. The programme aims at providing an overview and perspectives to the participants encapsulating various facets of the Civil service examinations. The programme will also provide valuable step by step tips for preparations ranging from preliminary examination to the final interview.

The resource persons on the course will provide inputs on strategically planning the period of preparation for prelims and mains, time management measures, guidance for preparation and all of these complementing the syllabi. A unique aspect that this expose provides is the special focus on attitude-based preparation for this most competitive of exams.

Our resource persons include eminent civil servants from the recent batches who will share their practical knowledge and experience extensively on the aforementioned aspects. Some of the speakers are toppers in their specific areas and can provide the best orientation and guidance in preparing for Essay writing, GS, CSAT and optional papers. This intense programme is also ideal for those who are at the initial level of preparations for the UPSC examination. The uniqueness of this programme which is tailor-made exclusively for civil service aspirants stems from the unparalleled set of resource persons, a majority of whom are young civil servants contributing to nation development and achieving excellence in the most challenging environments. We hope that through your interaction with them, you will gain the knowledge and guidance that will be beneficial in your preparation for the examination.

Entry Requirements

Undergraduate/Postgraduate/working professionals are welcome. There is no restriction on the academic discipline the applicant comes from.

Students admitted to the programme would normally have some relevant work experience. However, applicants with little working experience, an internship, for example, are also welcome to apply.

 Assessing Your Application

Your application will be considered looking at your overall academic merit, your interest in the course and your overall work experience.

Program Structure

This is an online program being offered by St. Stephen’s College, Delhi through the St. Stephen’s Centre for Advanced Learning. Each session will comprise a 90 minutes lecture followed by an interactive session. 

Assessment

On successful completion of the course, the student will be presented with a Certificate Of Participation from the St. Stephen’s Centre for Advanced Learning.

Fees

A highly subsidized course fee of INR 5,000/- inclusive all of tax and costs.

Fees once paid are non-refundable.

Application Process:

Applications are available on the SCAL website against a payment of INR 500/-. Candidates will be selected on a first-come, first served basis.

7. Timings: Weekends (Saturday – Sunday)  2:00 – 6:00 pm

The self-motivated and ceaseless activities of over two dozen clubs and societies constitute a very important part of College life and offer a large variety of avenues for self expression. For each subject there is a Society that sponsors extra-curricular lectures and discussion and, in general, tries to stimulate interest in the subject. There are many other academic and cultural society and clubs covering wide range of activities, such as debating, dramatics, mountaineering, film and music appreciation, social service, photography and electronics.
