SANSKRIT COURSES AT CENTRE FOR LANGUAGES

The Centre for Languages, St. Stephen’s College invites applications for Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses in Sanskrit. These courses are not affiliated to any University Department and are designed and administered by the Centre which also awards its own certificates to successful candidates.

Apply by August 06, 2017

Certificate Course in Sanskrit – Classes will be held thrice a week. Each class will be of two hours duration.

No prior knowledge of the Sanskrit language is required.

Diploma in Sanskrit – Classes will be held thricee a week. Each class will be of two hours duration. 

Applicants who have scored at least 60% marks in the certificate course at the CFL are eligible for admission. Those who have scored less and those who have not pursued the Certificate course at the Centre will have to appear for an interview at 2 pm on Tuesday, August 08, in College.

Advanced Diploma in Sanskrit – Classes will be held thrice a week. Each class will be of two hours duration. 

Applicants who have scored at least 60% marks in the Diploma course at the CFL are eligible for admission. Those who have scored less and those who have not pursued the Certificate course at the Centre will have to appear for an interview at 3 pm on Tuesday, 08 August in College.

Course Fee: For certificate Courses, Rs. 5000 and others Rs. 6000/-

The self-motivated and ceaseless activities of over two dozen clubs and societies constitute a very important part of College life and offer a large variety of avenues for self expression. For each subject there is a Society that sponsors extra-curricular lectures and discussion and, in general, tries to stimulate interest in the subject. There are many other academic and cultural society and clubs covering wide range of activities, such as debating, dramatics, mountaineering, film and music appreciation, social service, photography and electronics.
