PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
It’s been just a few days but I’m not too sure if I will be able to live down the tragedy we went through last week. While life must go on, I am struck by the suddenness with which it all happened. In a flash it was all over. In a couple of days, loved ones are mere memories…how transient this life! Life has to go on, though. And I comfort myself with these lines from Thomas Campbell, “to live in the hearts of those you leave behind, is not to die”.
Soon Christmas will be here. It’s the remembrance of the birth of the Christ child. The promise of life. From death to life. And with life there is hope. This Christmas I wish all who come here, to this site, and to College, a blessed season of hope. Hope, not just for us and our loved ones, but for the world at large. Where there is darkness, light; where there is war, peace; and where there is hatred, love.
May the peace, joy and light of Christmas shine bright all through the New Year.
A warm and happy Christmas!
