The Media Cell

THE MEDIA CELL

Established in 2020, The Media Cell is the youngest society in college that was started to promote journalism and media involvement amongst the junior members. The college has a long standing legacy of eminent journalists and the society aims to build on that and continue the quest for truth in the youth.

The society has a number of riveting and exciting events that it holds over the course of the year to help students expand their boundaries and illustrate that journalism is not merely restricted to reporting. Media is explored in the forms of interesting events like podcasts, mock press conferences, stand up, talks, news reading, photography and writing.

The Media Cell runs the official podcast of St. Stephen’s College “Under the cafe tree”. Renowned people like Shashi Tharoor, Siddhesh Gautam, Shishir Prasad, Parry Ravindranathan, and so on have been involved in activities of the society.

The Media Cell has been assigned the Herculean task of ensuring and taking forward the legacy of excellence and honesty in the college and it aims to do exactly that.
