LIBRARY INTERN

Date: 18 October 2018

Applications are invited from the Library & Information Science Professionals having Master Degree in Library and Information Science with 55% marks as ‘Library Intern’ at St. Stephen’s College Library. The Library intern will be recruited for the period of six months (approximately). However, the tenure may be extended depending upon the library needs and performance of the candidate. The candidates have to work from Monday to Saturday as per the library requirements. The candidates shall have the knowledge of computer and any library management system (LMS). The details of payments and qualifications are as follows:

Number of positions         : 01
Tenure of Engagement     : until March 31, 2019 (extendable)
Monthly Stipend               : Rs. 11000/- (Consolidated)
Educational Qualification : Master in Library and Information Science with basic computer knowledge
Age Limit                          : 35 Years

The number of positions may be increased depending upon the library needs. Candidates who meet the requisite qualification may attend the personal interview on October 31, 2018 at 2 P.M. in The Bursar’s Office, St Stephen’s College, Delhi (India). Candidates appearing for interview are required to bring with them all testimonials in originals and one set of photocopy.

The self-motivated and ceaseless activities of over two dozen clubs and societies constitute a very important part of College life and offer a large variety of avenues for self expression. For each subject there is a Society that sponsors extra-curricular lectures and discussion and, in general, tries to stimulate interest in the subject. There are many other academic and cultural society and clubs covering wide range of activities, such as debating, dramatics, mountaineering, film and music appreciation, social service, photography and electronics.
