The society strives to extend economic concepts beyond the realms of the classroom through a series of multi-disciplinary events- be it Economics and business-centric quizzes, debates on relevant economic issues, stimulating games and models replicating real-life scenarios using Excel, committee/public body simulations on an economic agenda or even informal discussions on interesting topics related to the subject. From time to time, the EcoSoc has hosted eminent speakers at seminars and lectures such as Dr. Amartya Sen, Dr. Swaminathan Iyer, Dr. Arvind Subramaniam and Dr. Montek Singh Ahluwalia, to name a few. The EcoSoc also manages ‘Towards Equilibrium’, the annual academic journal of the society, as well as EconAfterHours, an online blog with articles on different topics pertaining to Economics.

The National Economics Festival is the flagship event of the EcoSoc. NEF brings together Economics enthusiasts from across the country and has witnessed an increase in footfall year after year. It acts as a platform for participants to explore Economics and hone their skills in related fields such as finance and business through events such as Guest Lectures, Quizzes, Debates, Excel Simulations and Paper Presentations.  In addition, the Society also organises the Academic Summit in the odd semester. The two-day summit comprises of academically engaging events such as Panel Discussion, Committee Simulation, Paper Presentation Competition and Policy Paper Workshop. The event sees participants from all over India and host eminent personalities as judges, panellists and speakers during the Academic Summit.
