UG SPORTS ADMISSIONS PROCEDURE 2021-2022

Due to the unprecedented situation of the COVID-19 Pandemic and prevailing public health guidelines, admission on the basis of Sports will take place without the conduct of Trials as per Delhi University guidelines and following the Admissions Policy of the College 2021-2022

The Admission Procedure for Candidates applying under Sports Merit Category will have to undergo Composite merit assessment as per the weightage given below:

Sports Certificate Marks : 45%
Academic Percentage (BFS/PCM) : 40%
Sports Interview : 15%
TOTAL : 100%

CRITERIA FOR VERIFICATION OF CERTIFICATES

Step 1:

Certificate Marks will be awarded to each applicant based on their Sports Merit Certificate as per the guidelines prescribed by University of Delhi. (Admission to Under Graduate Programme 2021 -2022)

Applicants must register with only ONE University of Delhi Registration Number. Applicants can register for a Maximum of THREE SPORTS on one College application form.

Step 2:

Marks will be given for the (ONE) highest certificate only. As per the Delhi University Sports Certificate Criteria 2021-2022.

Step 3:

Grievances related to the award of marks of uploaded Merit/ Participation Sports Certificate shall be redressed by the Sports Grievance Committee of the College.

The Sports Certificate marks of the Merit/ Participation Sports Certificate shall be displayed on the college website for three days to register grievance/s, if any.

All grievances shall be resolved within three days by the Sports Grievance Committee of the College.

Grievances or Requests received after three days from the date of Display of Certificate Marks will not be entertained.

Step 4:

The Award Marks displayed on the College Website are provisional and subject to final scrutiny for the verification of the uploaded Merit/ Participation Sports Certificate/ documents by the Sports Grievance Committee of the College shall be final. Any improper means to secure admission will be strictly dealt with.

Step 5:

A List of Shortlisted Candidates for Sports Interview will be displayed on the College Website.

Note:
Academic Rider/s for Sports: Applicants please note that candidates seeking Sports Merit Admissions have to qualify basic Academic Rider/s for the following courses:

B.A (Hons) Economics (*Academic Rider Applicable)
B.A (Hons) English (*Academic Rider Applicable)
B.Sc (Hons) Mathematics (BFS Calculation should include Mathematics)
B.Sc (Hons) Physics (PCM will be considered)
B.Sc (Hons) Chemistry (PCM will be considered)
B.Sc (Prog) Chemistry (PCM will be considered)
B.Sc (Prog) Computer Science (PCM or Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science whichever is higher will be considered)

*The specific details of the Academic Rider/s will be duly displayed on the College Website.

Any manner of canvassing or instance of fraud, including the use of fake certificates, will attract penalties and if necessary, legal action. Please note that College has not authorised ANYONE to represent College or liase on its behalf.

For any matter, not covered by any Rule/Regulation, the decision of the Principal shall be final and binding.

The self-motivated and ceaseless activities of over two dozen clubs and societies constitute a very important part of College life and offer a large variety of avenues for self expression. For each subject there is a Society that sponsors extra-curricular lectures and discussion and, in general, tries to stimulate interest in the subject. There are many other academic and cultural society and clubs covering wide range of activities, such as debating, dramatics, mountaineering, film and music appreciation, social service, photography and electronics.
