NOTICE

CERTIFICATE AND DIPLOMA COURSES IN SANSKRIT

The Centre for Languages, St. Stephen’s College invites applications for Certificate and Diploma courses in Sanskrit. These courses are designed and administered by the Centre which also awards its own certificates to successful candidates.

Apply between 01 August 2019 to 10 August 2019 – Download and submit the duly filled form at Centre for Languages office between 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

Certificate Course in Sanskrit – This is a two semester course. Classes will be held twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm. (Days and time subject to modification at the convenience of teachers of students).

Course Fees – Rs. 6,000/- (Rs. 15,000/- for foreign students)

Classes will commence on August 19, 2019.

No prior knowledge of the Sanskrit language is required.  Knowledge of Devanagari script necessary.

 

Diploma in Sanskrit – Classes will be held twice a week. Each class will be of two hours duration.

Applicants who have scored at least 60% marks in the certificate course at the CFL are eligible for admission.

The first meeting of selected candidates will be held on August 19, 2019 at 2.00 pm for finalization of the schedule.

Course Fees – Rs. 6,000/- (Rs. 15,000/- for foreign students)

The self-motivated and ceaseless activities of over two dozen clubs and societies constitute a very important part of College life and offer a large variety of avenues for self expression. For each subject there is a Society that sponsors extra-curricular lectures and discussion and, in general, tries to stimulate interest in the subject. There are many other academic and cultural society and clubs covering wide range of activities, such as debating, dramatics, mountaineering, film and music appreciation, social service, photography and electronics.
