Music Society
The Freshers Welcome, Freshers Informal, Midterm Concert, a very
colourful Crosswinds 2009... Could one ask for more? Yes.
Our achievements this year include two first prizes and a third
prize for the Indian group, one each at Miranda House, Crosswinds
and IIT. The Western acapella group brought their unique sound to
several college festivals this year, winning a third prize at
Miranda House.
Achintya, a first year student of chemistry won the Indian classical
category at LSR.
Our bands were invited to play at various venues in the city,
including International Management Institute, India Habitat Centre,
Dilli Haat and Potpourri.
This year we worked in conjunction with the choreography society, an
extremely enjoyable experience. We hope to collaborate again in the
future. Of course, our biggest achievement of all - a year of
ceaseless pushing by our president finally led to the revamping of
the college hall sound system, capping off a stellar year for the
society.
