College Day Celebrations - Tuesday, 1 February 2011

My Dear Fellow Stephanians & Friends of St. Stephen's

Our College completes 130 years of meritorious service to the nation on 1 February, 2011, which will be celebrated as the College Day. The broad outlines of the programmes for the day are given below:

1.               2.30 pm to 4 pm cultural events –

Coordinated and presented by Dr. Sangeetha Sachdeva. This segments includes: (a) classical instrumental and dance recitals by Junior members 

(b) Dance by Sonal Mansigh 

(c) Sufi Music by Prof. Madan Gopal Singh.

2.                4.00 pm - 4.30 pm TEA BREAK  (mess lawns)

3.       4.30 pm - 5.45 pm Session on “St. Stephen’s Vision 2050”

            Chair  -  Mr. Navin Chawla

          Opening prayer- Bishop of Delhi

          Poem on College recited by Ashok Sawny (alumus)

          Introductory remarks by Mr. Chawla

          Brief Addresses: Prof. Dinesh Singh, Aditya Kakati

          Introduction of the Vision Document – Mr. B. G. Verghese

          Discussions (for 30 minutes)

3.             5.45 pm - 6.15 pm Felicitation of Mr. Montek Singh Alhuwalia –  Chair. Justice Manmohan Sarin
