Closure of College for the Autumn
Break
Attention all Senior and Junior
Members
I now have definite information from the UGC that we
are required to allot rooms in residence to Commonwealth Games
guests w.e.f 1 October, 2010.This brings much relief to the college
community as a whole. However in order to prepare the rooms to a
level fit for accommodating, an enormous amount of work needs to
happen prior to 1.10.2010.We need at least five days to accomplish
this mammoth task .Keeping this in view I have decided to commence
autumn break w.e.f. Monday the 27th of September. [That
is to say, autumn break shall commence on Monday the 27th of
September and not on 04.10.2010]. This means that we shall lose, in
all five working days. I am asking the Heads of the Departments to
work out a plan for compensating the loss of teaching time involved.
All resident students, without exception are required to vacate
their rooms latest by Sunday 26.10.2010 and handover their rooms to
the estate office.
